Using the Election 2025 Website

This website (www.election2025.gg) is maintained for your personal use. You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, this site by any third party. The States aim to update this site regularly, and may change the content at any time. By using this site, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please refrain from using this site.

Online States of Guernsey services or transactions 

When using election2025.gg you may access an online States of Guernsey service or transaction that is delivered by a States committee, for example when you register to vote. Each of these services will have its own terms and conditions or end user licences that apply only to that service. Users of any service should make sure they have read the relevant terms and conditions before completing that transaction.

Linking to and from election2025.gg  

The States welcome and encourage other websites to link to the information that is hosted on these pages, and you don't have to ask permission to link to election2025.gg.

Requests to remove content

The States of Guernsey will acknowledge your request and let you know what's going to happen. Unpublishing is at the discretion of the States of Guernsey in discussion with the States of Guernsey Committee responsible for the content. This policy doesn't affect your statutory rights to request information, including the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2001 or ability to request information in accordance with the Code of Practice for Access to Public Information.

Viruses, hacking and other offences

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to this site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1991. The States of Guernsey will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and the States of Guernsey will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them.

Governing law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Guernsey. Any dispute arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Guernsey.

General

The States of Guernsey accept no liability for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions where such failure is due to circumstance beyond our reasonable control. If the States waive any rights available to us under these terms and conditions on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived on any other occasion. If any of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, the remaining terms and conditions shall nevertheless continue in full force.

Revisions to these terms

The States may at any time revise these terms and conditions which all relate to election2025.gg without notice. Please check these terms and conditions regularly, as continued use of the election2025.gg website after a change has been made is your acceptance of the change.
